Snail ID for Beginners - 19/04/2018

Thursday 19th April at the BIS office. 10:30am to 4pm.

Dr. Ben Rowson, Senior Curator: Mollusca at the National Museum Wales will lead the course.

This course is aimed at beginners wanting to get into recording snails. There are around 100 British species. The day will cover the basics of finding and identifying snails, and give an introduction to their habitats and biology (not all of them are garden pests!). The identification of slugs can be a little more specialised, but the day will also touch upon this.

This is a free course. To book please email Ben, or call 01874 610881.

Refreshments provided. Bring lunch or buy locally.
